About

I make plenty of crafts and I wanted a place to keep them over the years. Not every craft process is recorded, after all I have made hundreds starting from when I was young. But I can still showcase the ones I have photographed in this portfolio.

Using recycled scraps to create art. Things people could see as trash, I see as potential material. Collecting ‘junk’ here and there is how I create new projects.

Over the Years

growing in age and crafts

It starts small, little things here and there. Most of my projects around this age were no bigger than a cardboard box. My purpose here was nothing but play, things I made were for toys and my enjoyment with them. Things like houses for dolls, play food, and mini accessories.

Tiny Rylee - 6/9yrs

At I get older, my projects start getting more technical. Instead of focusing entirely on play, I start thinking about functionality. How I could use my crafts in day-to-day life. Here, I start to expand my material horizon from junk and cardboard to things like air dry clay and simple motors. I still made things for fun, but the complexity of my creations was starting to grow.

Pre-Teen - 10/12yrs

Now my crafts are focused on the use. What can I use them for and how are they significant to me? I still love to create my own crafts for leisure; things like costumes, paintings, pottery, and drawings. But outside of that I prefer to make sure my projects can be beneficial to myself or anyone using them. I love to give other people earnest handmade crafts for special occasions. Detailed masks, things with certain meanings or scrapbooked cards.
